Volunteer Opportunities

It Takes a Village — And We Would Love You to Be Part of Ours
The magic of TLC is powered by people who care. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our program, ensuring riders have the safest, most encouraging experience possible.

You do not need horse experience to make a difference — we will train you.

Whether you can give a few hours a month or a few hours a week, you will become part of a close-knit community that celebrates every milestone alongside our riders.

Ways to Serve

In the Arena

  • Horse Leader – Guide and care for the horse during lessons, keeping the ride steady, safe, and focused.

  • Sidewalker – Walk alongside the rider, offering safety, encouragement, and a steady presence from start to finish.

Beyond the Arena

  • Horse & Barn Crew – Feed, groom, and help with the daily care of our horses.

  • Grounds & Maintenance – Keep our facilities safe, clean, and welcoming for riders and their families.

  • Event Support – Help plan and run fundraisers, open houses, and seasonal celebrations.

  • Administrative & Outreach – Assist with office work, communications, and community engagement to keep our mission growing.

Why Your Time Matters

Every volunteer plays a vital role in our riders’ journeys. Whether it is keeping a horse calm, encouraging a nervous new rider, or making sure our barn is ready for the day, you help create a space where growth and confidence can thrive. You will be part of a team that celebrates victories big and small — from the first time a rider lets go of the saddle to the moment they beam with pride after reaching a personal goal.

Getting Started

  • Minimum Age: 14 years old (no horse or special needs experience required)

  • Training: We will provide all the training you need to feel confident in your role.

  • Commitment: We welcome both short-term and long-term volunteers — whether you can give a few hours a month or a few days a week.

Join the TLC Family
